Meet your host
Dr. Moore is a board-certified family physician and the medical director of Clearwater Health DPC, with a focus on regenerative medicine and chronic disease care.
Early in his career he saw patients with type 2 diabetes continue to struggle while following conventional guidance. That led him to study insulin resistance as the underlying driver of the disease, and to teach patients how metabolic health can change over time.
In this session he explains the science in plain language so you can arm yourself with the knowledge needed to take back control of your health.
The agenda
Many treatment plans focus on lowering blood sugar numbers. We'll look at why insulin resistance — the underlying driver for most people with type 2 diabetes — often goes unaddressed, and what the research says about that difference.
A clear, non-technical explanation of how insulin resistance develops over years, why it affects energy, weight and blood sugar, and how it is measured.
A look at common dietary patterns and how different foods affect blood sugar and insulin response, including foods that are frequently recommended but worth discussing with your clinician.
Symptoms and lab trends that people often overlook, and why earlier conversations with your care team generally leave more options open.
An honest look at what ongoing medication, supplies and complications tend to cost over time, and why prevention-focused care is worth understanding.
What clinicians mean by type 2 diabetes remission, who tends to be a candidate, and why any medication change must always be made with your prescribing physician.
Attend the free session first. Afterwards, if you'd like to look at your own metabolic labs with our team, you can take the next step here.
